Lightbox opens a new set of images

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,

This is more of a feature request:
Is it possible to link a new fileset in when you click on an image in the gallery?
So within the lightbox you only have the images from that linked set?

Example: a gallery with 2 images: a chair and a table. When you click on the chair, a lightbox opens with photos of chairs (fileset: chairs). When you click on the table, a lightbox opens with photos of tables (fileset: tables).

Hello,
You can that with a piece of css. Create two separate gallery and place them on ur page. Then with adding css code like this you should get what you are want:
.whale-grid-gallery .grid .box:not(:first-child) {
  display: none !important;
}

It hides all grid elements except first one. You can paste this code to
Grid tab: Design: Styles

Hmm this seems like a clunky way to do this. What if i have a page with 6 categories?

For example: balloons, cars, bikes, landscapes, whales and unicorns. So i have a grid gallery of 6 images (thumbnails). When i click on the balloon thumbnail, it opens the set of balloon images.

Would this still work with that same method?

Not a perfect solution, but it works. And added this feature to our to-do-list for further versions.
Cheers,
