This add-on enhances your Concrete5 website with HTML5-based document annotation functionality. It allows users to annotate 50+ document and image types right on your Concrete5 website without having to install any office software or browser plugins.

The add-on integrates a downloadable Java version of the GroupDocs HTML5 document annotation library into Concrete5 CMS. The library converts documents to web-compatible content (a combination of HTML markup, CSS and images) and then renders it on your website along with an annotation toolbar. To name just a few, supported file formats include: PDF and Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Visio diagrams, CAD drawings and raster images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, BMP). Other benefits include:

1. Multi-user annotation sessions. Several users can annotate the same document simultaneously. Users can easily invite others to review a document on your website, add comments, see each other’s annotations and discuss them in real time. This provides your users with an unmatched document review experience, as they get fast feedback on any document without having to mail the document back and forward between all involved parties until it is finally approved.

2. Support for native Microsoft Word and PDF annotations. PDF or Word documents annotated online on your website can then be saved along with annotations in them for further offline editing.

Since documents are converted to pure HTML/CSS/images, they can be viewed and annotated from any standard browser and without having to install any office software or plugins.
