Cool add-on. Can the icons be removed without having to resort to the HTML tab in Redactor?

Hi Jordi,
Cool! Sounds good. How hard would it be to modify so that other icon
fonts could be used?
Cheers,
Judd

Hi!
It shouldn't be too hard. If you're comfortable with Javascript, you can download the add-on and have a look at the code.
Do you have any particular font in mind?
I'll try to post a "How to adapt the add-on to antoher icon font" if I have the time (it shouldn't take too long)

Hey Jordi.
I use Entypo a lot. Font Awesome is getting a little long in the tooth
these days. My javascript is so-so, but I'm working on it when I have time.

Hi Judd,
yes, I see :) ok, I'll test how easy it is to use Entypo with the add-on and add this to the documentation during the weekend if everything goes well

Jordi

The add-on was only meant to make it easy to insert font awesome icons without remembering the actual code.
Right now it simply embeds the standard font awesome code:
But you're right, sometimes you need to change to the HTML tab (for instance, when you insert the icon at the beginning of the line) to remove the icon.
I think this could be fixed if the add-on also inserted a blank space inside and after the <i> tag. I'll do some testing and update the add-on if it works as expected.
Thanks for your feedback!
Jordi
