Simple and Easy to use
It did exactly what I needed.
I create an image set, uploaded the image, then I just added the block, selected my settings and I was done.
The hardest part of it all was chosing the best images to use! :)

Not that impressed.
I needed something like this block for a simple slide effect for a banner. I was not to impressed that there was only one option to slide from right to left and nothing for left to right. I did get a rapid response to my support question and found out where to change the .js script.
Out of curiosity I checked out the fade feature, not really the best of quality.
I think the block needs a bit of work to bring it up to the standards of the other blocks available.

Don't get this for cross-fades
The sliding may work well, but the "fade" effect is very rough. It sort of fades to white between images and seems to largely ignore the timer. Set it at 10 seconds and a few images pause for that long, others flash by in 1 or 2 seconds. On longer delays, the speed of the fade effect remains constant.
Not worth $15, especially considering it's basically two jquery components that have had a c5 controller bolted on.
I wish the Add-Ons section was a little less hit or miss.
I don't like buying things and then finding that I have to spend hours hacking up someone else's work to make it fit in. Thankfully, I do see that transition speed can be adjusted - just not through the UI.
Also, FWIW, the CHANGELOG included with this claims it's version 1.0.

Slide This!
Slides images horizontally, vertically or fades between them. Sometimes the fader seems to pick up a white background between images but I like the slider effect best anyway. I have an implementation of it here:http://performancec5.com/index.php/reviews/image-slider/... where you can see the horizontal effect. Use the option to use images in a set and you can easily add or replace images in the file manager.
Easily worth 15 bucks.

before you buy this add-on
Below, Stoneyard posted a link at which this add-on is said to be used. This is not true! I can't find any site using this block from Showcases. It's a simple system using java and css (not a flash), which probably works okay in some people's hands, but it doesn't even align with other blocks on C5 on my setup. THe functionality is also very simple and limited - it doesn't even have image resizing function.
It's not flash based, which is nice, but it's very limited and also very different from what's actually used on stoneyard.com website.

Very nice!
Nicely done! :-D
Great tool -- we love it.
I LOVE the Image Slider --- I would like to control the size of the image that is displayed... I'm using this on my home page --- check it outhttp://www.stoneyard.com.
