Root folder can never be default language???

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I´m working with the internationalization add-on on a existing site. So at first I will have to move my whole file structure one level down, to put it in a folder called /en for English content???

There is no way, I can leave my default language in the root folder? Which would make the urls look like this:
http://www.mysite.com/ for default language, English
http://www.mysite.com/de for German
http://www.mysite.com/fr for French

it has to look like this?
http://www.mysite.com/en for default language, English
http://www.mysite.com/de for German
http://www.mysite.com/fr for French

Hello,
The second version is correct, you do need to have each different language in its own "tree". You can have it redirect to the default language but the root level is left as kind of an "international" space for now.

However, I believe that you could modify the "canonical URL" of your en/ pages to not include the 'en/'. To change the canonical URL, either while you are editing the page or from its icon in the sitemap, choose that page's properties and then you will have the option to change the canonical URL to be whatever you want.

Looks like with the canonical URL you can only change the last part of the url.

http://www.mysite/en/content/
only "content" is editable, everything else can´t be edited

Perhaps you could use those "Additional Page URL(s)" to do some tricks, but I guess that is far away from a clean fix.

I wonder if the developers consider that solution?
Thanks anyway

Ah, too bad that did not work. Yes I can see this being important to people. I will add this as a suggestion for a new feature.

I think you might be able to do this with some fancy htaccess, on a per-site basis, but it doesn't look like something that will be supported by the add-on ever.
