How to choose intermediate levels on menus

This menu works well in mobile environment but it is semi-useless. There is no way to choose an intermediate menu level. The only level you can actually navigate to is the last level.
For example, if I have a page structure such as Home > Products > New > Red, the only page you can access is "Red". You can't ever get to the "Products" or "New" pages.
I'm not sure how you would even change this as there is no way to differentiate between clicking on a menu level to open a sub page or to open the page you are on.
Perhaps I misunderstand the purpose of this menu system but would assume it is to navigate to any page in a site, not just the last sub page and a path.
Other menus I've seen like this differentiate between selecting the current page that's shown in the menu or the next sub level beyond by either clicking on the name of the page or on the arrow to the right.
I'm pretty sure that the Add-On is working correctly on my site as your demo has the same problem.
I'd like to get this working correctly. Are you willing to modify it?
