I have the following problems:
Thumbs not centered, only 7 of 8 images shown as thumbs, and the first one has weird format (even though I allowed crop). And no texts show, even though I have entered both titles and descriptions.

First, can you please wait to have a support answer before write a bad & wrong review. That not a friendly way to create nice relation between us. I always answer questions. I was abroad these days, that's why you did not answer. I have a reputation for having good support for my product. Please wait for my answer next time.
Your problem occurs because you create a gallery whose size exceeds the size of your images. Large images of the coup are lost in the viewport. Try with larger images or decrease the size of the gallery for a better result.
