I would like to know if its possible to display the image description attribute instead of the image title on the top of an image.
Which section of code do I have to change ?

Yes if you're working with filesets you can find the file here /your_site/packages/jb_jq_zoom_image/blocks/jb_jq_zoom_image/view.php at line 87 change
$fv->getTitle();

To
$fv->getDescription();
