Not formatting!
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi, please can you help?
I have a website to get finished this week. I thought you add-on look perfect for my contact page, but once added it is appearing with the form on top with the contact information underneath and not formatted properly (animation is working though). If I add a coloured background then it just goes right over the top of the contact information and hides it.
I need this to appear 2 column as in your demo, otherwise it is useless to me!
If it helps, I am using this with the Blankcon theme. I have also attached a screenshot showing how the contact info is falling underneath the form.

Hi Matteo, thanks for the prompt reply! I have updated the add-on and unfortunately it still hasn't fixed the issue; the block still doesn't format as two columns. (I have attached a screenshot).
When I add a layout to an area, the grid options are Free Form Layout and Boxx. I am guessing that the theme developer has used Flexbox but will need to contact him to be sure. Does that information help?
Steve.

Hello Steve
Thanks for your message.
Yes 1 thing would be good:
If you can ask assistence to the author of the theme asking him if an add-on which requires Bootstrap CSS assets would work with that theme.
NB: The add-on has already instruction to load bootstrap CSS assets if the theme does not do it itself already.
But yes would be good asking the author if his theme would work with an add-on based on Bootstrap Layout
Alright?
Let me know how it goes
Thanks
Matteo

Hi there Matteo! Sorry for the delay, I have been working with the theme dev to try and get this working with the theme, but unfortunately to no avail, and we have tried everything. I think at the end of the day they are just incompatible, I guess it happens sometimes!
With that in mind, and as much as it pains me, I have released the add-on from the project and I would like to formally request a refund.
I would also like to thank you for your time and patience whilst we tried to make this work.
Steve.

Hello Steve
Alright fine
By the way .. the reason why the add-on does not work on that theme is because the author Steevb which I actually know myself, does not intend to enable bootstrap (that means 1 css file to include) on the theme itself.
That's alright, not a problem, I mean his theme does not include that bootstrap file by default, so evidently he built the theme with no intention to include that file .. it's fine. It's not a big deal
He uses a different approach to layout design. OK
For your information:
• Bootstrap css file is a set of rules in a 40k file (relatively small file) which allows desktops / tablets / mobiles devices to see the website always good meaning with no errors.
Official site: http://getbootstrap.com
Now, I'll proceed wth the refund.
I take this occasion to give you a demo preview of my 4 themes which are going to be reliesed within this marketplace by the 10th of January 2018.
My upcoming themes demos:
• http://resume.italinux.com (Résumé)
• http://resume-pro.italinux.com (Résumé Pro)
• http://personal.italinux.com (Personal)
• http://personal-pro.italinux.com... (Personal Pro)
Thanks
Have a good evening
Matteo

Hi Matteo.
Thanks a lot, and yes, it's not something I have come across before because I do usually use themes based on Bootstrap. I used the theme because I needed a barebones layout to work up my own design and it seemed to offer everything I needed in that respect. We have had some issues but he's spent time resolving them for me. By the time I came to use your add-on I was already quite a way through the build, so, please, this is no reflection on your great product, just that I already had too much time invested i the build to change anything there.
I will certainly check out your themes and will intend to use some of your add-ons in future products (Bootstrap next time though)!
Thanks for your understanding, and I will be back!

Alright then, good.
Hope everything goes smooth and I'm pretty sure it will.
I'll try to send you an update when all the themes will be published next month.
So that eventually you can try them for free
I shall close this ticket now
Have a good day
Matteo

Thanks for your message.
I suspect the theme you are using does NOT have bootstrap (http://getbootstrap.com ) assets enabled.
I have just uploaded a new version of the contacts add-on (v1.0.6) which should take care of that and if you install it (it's free for you of course).
I am pretty sure you'll be sorted.
This is the direct link:
http://matteo-montanari.com/addon-contacts...
However you should be able to upgrade the add-on directly through the CMS
Let me know how it goes, alright?
Cheers
Matteo
