Add-on doesn't work in 5.7 properly

This Addon is huge, but outputs to application/blocks and not to /packages as the override design of 5.7.3 demands. Therefore the user is forced to customize the output's controllers and put it into /packages. Any comments to this?

Not sure what you're saying here. I've successfully created and installed blocks with 5.7.3. Are you willing to create a block within your own package or...?
