Font awesome icons

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Ramon,

Happy customer here again 😉

I can add font awesome icons as a class but it's inside the a-tag like:
<a class="fa fa-arrow-left" href="link">link</a>
That means that this link has a differnt format sometimes like font-weight: bold (because of the class "fa")
Should be:
<i class="fa fa-arrow-left"><a href="link">link</a></i>

Maybe it's a good idea to implement font awesome with a drop down where you can choose the icon.

Hi Torsten,

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a code like this?

<a href="link"><i class="fa fa-arrow-left"></i> link</a>

The anchor should be wrapped around everything if you ask me. But if we take a look at your other support question, perhaps it's best if you have a before/after field for WITHIN the anchor and OUTSIDE the anchor, so you can choose what to do yourself. Will be for the more technical users though. What do you think?

Kind regards,

Ramon

Hi Ramon,
You are right. 😊
This way around the icon is also clickable.

Torsten,

And you would like this option for every list item?

Kind regards,

Ramon

Hi Ramon,

I think it's the best solution to have it for every item. Maybe an option in settings to activate/deactivate this function - just to have not too much "confusing" functions for "beginners".

Hi Torsten,

I added in a HTML prepend/append function. You can add some HTML you like in there for each and every list item. So you can use FontAwesome icons or Bootstrap icons or your own icons if you like. No limits at all. Does that suit your needs? :)

Kind regards,

Ramon
