Page redirect attribute

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Ramon,

may it possible to implement the page redirect attribute "replace_link_with_first_in_nav" as it works in auto nav block?

Hi Torsten,

Not sure what you mean with that? Can you give an example by video or screenshots perhaps?

Kind regards,

Ramon

there is an attribute in concrete 5 that redirects to first child
like your redirect add-on ;)

Hi Torsten,

So you want to select a page and when selected, you want to say "Pick first child page" or "Pick last child page"etc. etc.? So you don't want to enter the page yourself, you just always want what type you selected (first, last, random, newest, oldest). Am I right?

Kind regards,

Ramon

Not inside the list designer add on -
I mean - can it behave like the auto nav block, if this page attribute is activated at a page with child pages (see attached images)

OK, I misunderstood I guess. You mean this (fromhttps://www.concrete5.org/documentation/using-concrete5/dashboard/pa...

"Replace Link with First in Nav

Used by: Autonav
Handle: replace_link_with_first_in_nav
Type: checkbox

When added and activated for a particular page, and that page is linked to using the Auto-Nav, the parent page will not be linked to. Instead, the page with the lowest display order under the parent page will be linked to instead. (e.g. Click on "Locations" in a navigation, and actually link to "/locations/first-location" instead."

That's not build in. But you want if you have "Location" selected as a page in your List Designer, you actually want the first child page. Let's say you have these pages under "Location", in this specific order:

- Location 1
- Location 2
- Location 3

It needs to link to "Location 1", but the link will still read "Location" in your list. Is that right?

Kind regards,

Ramon

Yes, that would be nice, because I have a part of a page tree inside the list designer list, where I need this behavior - and its a nice extra functionality in general for this add-on

And if this attribute is assigned to a page and checked, and the page has no child pages, it will just take the page itself as link as it should normally do without this attribute, right?

I will let you know when I've implemented this.
