There is currently no way to configure that behaviour without code.
If you wanted to implement it, you could do so in JavaScript by listening on the 'jl_magic_tabs_ready' event (see https://c5magic.co.uk/addons/magic-tabs/developer-interfaces... ).
The event is fired once for a tab set when MT has done its slicing of blocks. The event handler would then loop through each tab control, identify the respective body from the href, check if it is empty, and if so hide the tab control. You could also experiment with actually removing the tab control and body, but my gut feeling is that is more likely to result in unintended consequences.
The kind of unintended consequences to watch out for are:
- Any tab-specific styling such as rainbow templates
- Autoplay
- Jump to tabs
- Nested tabs
- Initially open tab if the hidden or removed tab was the first tab
