Adding Mega Menu to Stucco Theme breaks Navigation area
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I purchased Mega Menu for 5.7+ today and added it to our site.
Once adding the Mega Menu to the sitewide navigation area, the whole area covers the site with the exception of the carousel. Can someone please help with this? Stucco is the theme that we normally use. I tried changing the theme and changing it back with no effect.
I have made no code changes to the site thus far.
I have no idea why this is happening and cannot find a fix for it.
The site is:

Thank you,
Bill

Hi, it may be a z-index issue with the slideshow. It's not uncommon for slideshows to have these kinds of issues with other potentially overlapping elements - the Mega Menu in this case.
If you can add it back to the correct location I can take a closer look and see what tweaks can be made to the slideshow to put it "back in it's place".
Thanks,
JB

I have put the mega menu back into the sitewide navigation area. Please let me know what you find out.
Thank you,

Also, If you could suggest where I modify the CSS to center the menu, that would be excellent.

Hi Bill,
It seems the ".main-container" element is experiencing a CSS sizing quirk. It would take more time to find out where in the theme that is originating. So the quickest workaround is applying a border to it. Here's a screenshot of the CSS changes and I've tested:

For the centering question, I answered that on a ticket relating to Mega Menu 5.7, but the CSS is still pretty much the same for this version of Mega Menu (for C5.6 and older):

Hope this helps.

You gave me good information here. What I don't have is the actual document to make that inline change to. I am new to Concrete5 and am not sure what file needs to be altered to make the changes you show working.
Thanks,

Hi Bill,
Your theme contains a CSS file located in:
stucco/main.css
It's probably located in the "packages" folder. Then search for the CSS code you want to change.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your help!

I had to move the mega menu bar to the page header area so that folks could continue adding content to the site. Please let me know when you can take a look and I will move it back to the sitewide navigation area so you can see what the issue is.
Thank you,
Bill
