NEW in v1.4: To create your own custom skin, choose the "custom" skin option under the "colour" tab. This will load the default CSS code for your custom skin. You can edit any of the CSS code shown. This will be applied straight away when you save your changes and best of all, they won't get overwritten when you update the Mega Menu package in the future. No need to copy and paste code to your theme's CSS file anymore.
The built-in search tool will send the user to the following page: /search/search-results
If you have modified (or deleted) the default search results page that ships with Concrete5, you can easily add it back in by following the guide below. Then you just need to add the "Search" block to that page.
Creating the Search Result page:
If you would like to format the current page (or current page path), there are 2 built-in CSS classes you can use in your site's CSS file: "nav-selected" and "nav-path-selected". The "nav-selected" class is added to the current page you're viewing on the website. The "nav-path-selected" is added to each parent page above the current page you're viewing. These classes are added to BOTH the "li" and "a" elements so you can style them independantly. Here's an example of what to add to your site's CSS file:
Q: Can I add this menu across my entire site easily?
A: Yes. Watch this video for the recommended method (prior to C5.5). If you're using C5.5+ then the support for Global Areas in templates makes this much easier.
Q: Will this menu allow yo to go directly to an external url (_blank) window?
A: Actually that is already built-in in Concrete5 wherein you can add an external link in the sitemap instead of a regular page. So the answer is yes this add-on does support external links.
Q: Can I create my own custom skin?
A: Yes, as of v1.2 you can control over 20 different colour elements with point-and-click ease. Advanced users can also have more control if desired, but you will need some CSS knowledge. Please note, that we can not provide general CSS support in this situation so it's only recommended for advanced users. However, to make your life easier, the custom.css file contains very clear commenting. Also we offer paid customisation service just let us know so we can give you a quotation.
Q: How can you remove the small arrows in the drop down submenu? Also is it possible to change the font style in the drop down menu?
A: Yes you should be able to do so by using the custom mode. In the block interface go to Color (tab) > Skin Type > Custom from there you can customise the look of the menu and remove the arrow and change the font.

Q: My menu doesn't look right!
A: The most common cause of formatting issues is a clash with the site template. Some C5 templates are designed to format content within the "menu" (or "header nav") area a certain way. This can sometimes supercede the formatting built into Mega Menu. Don't worry! The easiest solution is to remove the offending CSS code from your site's theme. I recommend using Google Chrome's inspector tool or Firefox Firebug for troubleshooting these sorts of issues.
Q: Can your Mega Menu addon have page lists with hover-over tabs in them?
A: Yes this add-on can support any types of blocks (including Page lists) with its extended feature. You can see a demo through the video found here.
