Hi, this would be the same answer as your previous ticket. Hope this helps.
The previous I could not find so I asked again (I realy don't see it)
I bought the menu and put it in pakkages then looked at your youtube Mega Menu- how to use id.
But that is no succes for me, no matter where I look I can not find in Global content my site name
non of the items
I can add a block like in the youtube sample set display pages Display all twice
Then go back to the site edit mode there I can not remove the checkmarks of the childpages I remove the menu
Then add menu from scrapbook
then I add all the subpages I granted it now it seems to hang I see make connection but nothing happen

Sure, here's a link to the other ticket you opened:
https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/mega-menu/support/does-...
(it was for the 5.6 version of Mega Menu, a different product - this is a separate ticket for Concrete 5.7).
I've checked your site (http://scholtenbeverwijk.nl/index.php) and can see the Mega Menu. It looks like part of the menu and the submenus are being hidden behind the slideshow you've placed below it. This is a "z-index" issue. If you're familiar with CSS it means the DIV in your theme wrapping around the Mega Menu needs to be at a higher z-index than the DIV wrapping your slideshow.
So in this case the issue doesn't lie with the Mega Menu, but rather the theme and/or slideshow. Does this make sense?

Hi, I'm in the US at the moment so the times you've sent your previous messages was the middle of the night here. We endeavour to answer all tickets within 1 business day.
If you're not able to log into your site that would be a separate issue not related to Mega Menu or your theme's CSS file. I would suggest that if you're not comfortable editing CSS on your site to touch base with the developer of the theme and ask him for support with the theme (as the z-index issue is specially related to this theme - not Mega Menu).
However if he's unwilling to help I can step in.
Naturally, I can't support someone else's product for free. I also provide CSS training and support as a paid service (US$90/hr). Here's a couple pages on our website which explain this in more detail:
http://c5extras.com/support
http://c5extras.com/support/faqs...
I hope this guidance helps. Let me know how you go with the theme developer.

Hi JB Sorry forget the time frame I saw an error message page is busy or not responding you can stop the script or debug the script is ..../js/jquery.dcmegamenu.1.3.3.js:268 I think but I am not for sure this is related to megamenu or not

JB lets have another aproach do you have a theme what I can use (I don't mind buying something) but I now have the feeling that I do not come any further Ivan who made the Creative theme does not read (so can not answer) questions what the z index I believe you but if a script hang from the megamenu then I think it is not related to the them but again I have no experience in php and css so anybody can tell me anything but I do not come anyfurther
If you have suggestions...

Yes, that file is related to the Mega Menu. Whether it's a clash from the theme or another addon, will require testing. The easiest way is apply a default theme to 1 page (such as Greek yoghurt) and remove all other blocks. Then if that works fine, add one block at a time and save the page until you can see where the clash is occurring. My guess is it may be the theme. But also try another browser (like a google chrome).
JB Do I have to delete everything and begin from the start
JB I am in my homepage undone the setting for mobile site and the mega menu shows at the homepage
Would you be so kind to check if I did the installation correct cause I do not see where I could select the childpages, or are you 100% sure it is the z index

JB what I do not understand is on my homepage I see the megemenu which shows all submenus on the child pages I do not have a slider so how can the z index be wrong on that pages
If I add Manualy the MegaMenu than it works on the childpages
JB sorry on my notebook I see what you mean with the z-index on a bigger resolution it is not visible, so that is not a problem that can be solved
The problem is that I do not see the menu on childpages (I now add them manual) from the stack

Ok, on an internal page I can see the full menu without being covered by the slideshow. Here's a screenshot:
http://screencast.com/t/JpJOK6ocD4b...
The arrow next to certain menu items shows that there's a submenu (which shows up ok). If specific submenu items aren't showing, there could be one of 2 causes:
1) There's a page attribute called "hide children from Mega Menu"; or
2) Individual pages have a "hide from Navigation" attribute that Mega Menu will respect.
I'm not sure if you're using C5.6 or 5.7 - but here are 2 doc pages which explains how attributes work:
5.7 -http://documentation.concrete5.org/editors/in-page-editing/the-tool...
5.6 -http://legacy-documentation.concrete5.org/editors/dashboard/pages-a...
As far as applying another theme, you can do this on one single page (not the whole site). And no need to delete any content elsewhere on the site. You can even add a new page to test the Mega Menu on as needed.
If you're adding the Menu to a "global" area (depending on your theme) then it should be seen across the entire site straight away. You shouldn't have to add it to each page one at a time.
Does this help?

JB thanks I look further today Hide pages from mega I checked yesterday but they where not set to true

JB I have to read better the problem is not that childpages are not visible in the menu the problem is that childpages HAVE NO MENU
If the "hide children from mega menu" attribute isn't the cause then the only other factors that jumps to mind is the c5 cache. If you try clearing that in the dashboard and it still doesn't work please PM me your dashboard login details so I can take a closer look (don't send those in this ticket as it's publicly visible).
Hi JB,
I thought I buy another theme and the mega menu problem is solved and
indeed all pages have now a menu, the only downside is that all of the
pages are truncated, I asked if I did something wrong but I have to wait.
I asked a friend developer for fixing the css but he is on holiday for a
week, had another developer maybee he can fix it for me.
If that is fixed and de menu is ok then I want to use the Creative theme
(I like that theme) then I only had to buy another slider where I can
put text on (this is also possible with the Creative slider only there
is a problem with IE ) the overlay is not rendered correct.
This morning I add to one page the stucco theme as you said now the
MegaMenu is does not show correct it now shows no longer items
horizontal and vertical but only vertical.
I just have to wait, the downside is I can not go further with making
the pages, if business was going well then I could affort a developer
for x per hour

Hans

Ok, so it sounds like the theme was hiding 2nd level elements which is quite unusual for most themes.
It does take a bit of CSS knowledge to troubleshoot theme issues like this. If you know the basics, I recommend using the Google Chrome inspector. Just right-click on the element you want to investigate (like the menu item) in Google Chrome and choose "inspect". You'll see a screenshot like this:
http://screencast.com/t/Mknf1RPAW...
It shows the HTML code in the top right and below it the CSS code that is taking effect. This is where you can see what the theme is doing vs what the Mega Menu styling is doing. If the theme is overriding anything it shows you the problematic line number within the theme's CSS file so you know exactly where to make the change. It's also possible to play with the CSS settings on the fly without affecting the original files so you can safely try different changes.
Anything beyond that will require a developer, and hopefully your friend will be back soon to help.
If you send me the specific URL you've applied the Stucco theme to I can point out which lines of CSS code on that theme are causing issues. Just let me know.

Hi JB at this moment I am back to the Creative theme and screenshot of error
Ok, those 3 JS errors are related to a chrome plugin (not the site's theme or mega menu).
Any other errors you've noticed?
