Suggestion: Show an area's name only when a block is dragged over it

Permalink Browser Info Environment
A very helpful add-on, thank you for that!
People might wonder why this is not part of the core...

There is just one feature i'm still badly missing when moving blocks, actually i'm wondering why it's not implemented by default in concrete5 5.7.

Additionally to the option of always showing area names, it would be useful to have the option of area names showing up only when a block is hovering while it is dragged.

While the names of areas do show up when hovered by the mouse, they still don't when a block is dragged over it.

When adding new blocks or moving existing ones to areas, we have to know exactly where they should go, so this is the situation when we need to know the names of areas. Showing them all the time is also helpful, but can be confusing and still does not indicate if the block is actually dragged to the right area.

To summarize, when dragging a block, it would be great if the area's name should only pop up when the block is dragged over it, that way it could then be dropped precisely to the desired area.

Thank you,
Michael

Hi okapi,

I think there might be a way to do this, but I am not positive. Later today I will have more time to look at it.

@okapi

I spent more time trying to see if I could make this work, but it doesn't seem like a CSS only solution is available.

When adding content and dragging blocks, an overlay is added to the page. This prevents elements underneath from being hovered.

Thank you for looking into it!
Would have been a nice feature. Of course one can still move the mouse over areas and click on the lable of the desired area in order to insert blocks that way.
Since both ways to add blocks do exist, one has to choose.

Thanks,
Michael
