Functionality issues

Permalink Browser Info Environment
We are currently using your Twitter widget and came across little issues when setting it up.
The LINKS are always opened in a new window, even if the settings are set different. Also we'd love to use the dark theme, but theming does not working when using the pulldown.
The widget is great, the "fixed" new window linking might be a big issue for us not using it.
Is there any posibility to integrate an own font? We are using the Webfont MavonPro on all
the pages of our project, the Twitter widget displays in Arial (?). Many regards, Artrium

Hi ARTRIUM,

"The LINKS are always opened in a new window, even if the settings are set different."

I tried to duplicate your issue without success.

"Also we'd love to use the dark theme, but theming does not working when using the pulldown."

Can you include more specific details please. What happens when you select the dark theme? Does the select drop-down not work or are theme colors not being applied? If theme colors are not being applied, it is possible that your theme is overriding the CSS.

"the "fixed" new window linking might be a big issue for us not using it."

Which fixed new window linking are you referring to?

"Is there any posibility to integrate an own font? We are using the Webfont MavonPro on all the pages of our project, the Twitter widget displays in Arial"

The add-on does not set, or include, any font type. It will use the font that your theme uses for each element type.

Do you have a webpage using the add-on where I can inspect the code?

What version of the add-on are you using?

What browser and browser version?

What version of concrete5?

Have you cleared your concrete5 cache and your browser cache?

Hi concrete5 Team,

in short:
_________
New: We have recognized that opening links in the same window won't work
since it is restricted by twitter itself. We won't use the add-on for
our project
in this case. The theming (dark/light) might be a bit irritating, but
maybe we just
did it wrong (thinking of dark mode is night mode with inverted colors et)

Thanks for the reply and help, Artrium
_________

in long:
We are using the latest version of your add-on ..running on a 3rd party
theme.

Deluxe Customizable Twitter Feedv.0.9.6

Long Story Shortv.1.1.2

Our project lies athttps://www.artrium-data.de/index.php/newscroller...

Links in new windows:
When we test the site all the links are opened in a new tab. From the
settings
we did choose (New Windows/off) we thought, they would open in the very
same window, replacing the actual content. But they did not. Tested in all
browsers (mac/pc). NOW it could be that we do understand the behavior
wrong. We set our browsers in the manner that "new windows will open in
new tabs". Maybe ..whatever we set in the Twitter Add-On will result in
links to be opened in new tabs. F.e. if settings are set "OFF" links
will open
in new tabs, if settings are set to "ON" it'll be the same. It seems
this way:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/open-links-in-same-window-in-twi...

Dark theme:
When we set the visual appearance to black, we thought colors get
inverted (like the settings at the twitter site). IT SEEMS WE DID WRONG!
NOW we have recognized that the theme options change font colors and
not the background itself. We got it wrong, maybe the info (?) that theming
will "override" all colors somehow fooled us in thinking it would look
like the
theming options at the twitter site.

Fonts:
Using an own font quickly get solved defining them via CS5 itself. If you
want, a bit of a newbe question. Sorry.

Details/Versions/Cache:
Concrete5 Version 5.7.5.6

Browsers:
Chrome PC Windows 10/32bit Version 48.0.2564.97
Chrome Mac Version 47.0.2526.106 (64-bit)
Firefox Mac 43.0.4
Safari Mac Version 9.0.3 (10601.4.4)

Cache is resetted/deletet in all browsers and the CS5 system itself.
(CS5/by hand and automatically when logging in as admin).

Since openning links in the same window is resctricted by twitter itself, we
won't use the add-on for our project.

Many regards/thanks for your feedback.
