I have an unused 1.4.9 licence for C5.6, i was wondering if I could get the package for 5.7 with a discount? I'd really like to try to make it work with C5 .8.5.x, I don't want to wait until 8.6 or 9.

Yeah sure. I'll drop 50% off for you if you want to do that.
Just keep in mind it's not working out of the box for v8+, you will have to do some code changes because the APIs have changed.
