Redirecting to an external link?

I saw on the changelog that version 1.1 supports links to external pages; but I'm having trouble figuring out how. I can link to internal pages via the sitemap, but we'd like to use this to redirect users to our new website.

You have to add an external link in the sitemap, and then point the page redirector to it.
