Editing the Anchor Link Text

What is the best way to apply styling to the anchor link text? We want to eliminate the standard link appearance and change it to something different.

Hi

You would have to do that in your CSS file in your theme. Something like 
a {color:red;}
for example.

This worked. Thought I had already made an alteration to generic a {}, but i had only done it for classes and id's. Thanks
