Thank you for purchasing Popup Pro. So are you trying to showhttp://www.website.co.uk inside the popup did I get it right? If so, may I know the url where you are using the Popup Pro? Also you can use the support link found on the right side of Popup Pro product page so we can see your queries quickly. However for general CSS or customisations concerns you can use the C5 forum.

Thanks for the reply.

I did not want to raise as a Support issue because I felt it 'may' be how I am using the add on, not where there may be an issue with it.

The site is in development at the moment and I have to issue a log in to see it, but hopefully we can sort this out without access for the mo ;o)

But to clarify, I have used the add on elsewhere on the site, where I have an image which when you click, up pops the overlay pop up with a Flash file running, superb.

The flash file simply pops up over the page with the clickable image, which is what I wanted for the url.

Only on the url link when clicked a new page opens in a new tab which goes to the website linked, you then have to click back to the previous browser tab to see the page with the link, with the pop up overlay showing the linked website.

Simply put, I don't want the link to run in a new page, which confuses the viewer.

I simply want the pop up to view on the page with the link, just like my Flash file.

Hi Nick,

I'm guessing there might be a block that's in conflict with this add-on that exists in the page or just a misconfiguration which I'm not yet sure since I cannot see the site. Nevertheless, this add-on works in my local test site and in other sites where this block is installed so the reason for that happening might be caused by the 2 reasons I've mentioned.

You can try using the core themes and create a test page without other existing blocks to troubleshoot Popup Pro.

The only other block on the page is the Nivo Whale Slider. I took that off the page and used your add on pop up off the link again and it still opens a new page with the link as well as the pop up on the original page.

I have your add on working fine pushing a FLASH pop up directly onto the page, so I really feel something is not right with my add on?

I don't want to re-install as I will lose all the other pop ups which are working fine. In fact just going through those, I see that I have the very same pop up link to a website working fine on another page.

No duplicate page tab, the link works fine.

The only difference is that this is using an image to click for the pop up. The one which is duplicating, is using text for the link.

Perhaps you could have a look at this, perhaps the text link option has some problems.

I tried it in my local installation it works as expected without it opening a new window/tab for that link. If your site is connected to the C5 community it might help better as well since I will know the environment of your C5 installation. Although it might not help that much but can I get your C5's environment info more information about it herehttp://www.concrete5.org/documentation/using-concrete5/dashboard/sy... Again that might not help much but it's better than not having a tangible piece of your site.

Your environment info looks ok but it seems that you have a lot of plugins installed. Again, have you tried creating a test page with Plain Yogurt theme and no other existing block installed and check if this scenario still occurs?

Hi JZ,

There seems to be a conflict with another Plug In called Whale Nivo Slider. This plug in is running a portfolio slider of work, on each page, which I need to show examples of design work.

When I put the Pop Up Pro link either in text or off an image on the same page it opens the link, which would be a 'live' example of a website, firstly as a new page, which is then loaded as a pop up.

This is causing a problem as I want visitors to see the website pop up on the page which has the information, eg not to be forced onto another page, they then have to go back to their original page.

I tracked down the clash, because I have the Pop Up Pro running in place of Whale Nivo Slider on another page, mainly because I just wanted a single image.

Your pop up works perfectly.

So I am now stuck, not knowing what to do ;o) The site still has not gone live, so is behind a username and password until I get this sorted.

If I can see the actual page I might be able to help you pinpoint the cause. I'm not familiar with Whale Slider so I don't have any idea how it conflicts with Popup Pro. If you have the url already just let me know so I can take a look.
