Canonical url structure is not added when using composer

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I don't know if this is intentional or even possible, but the /2015/09/blog_post structure is not added when using the composer.

I observe the same thing when creating a post from Composer in version 5.7.4.2 and 5.7.5.1. The Canonical URL setting is ignored and the post ends up under '/Blog/Test-Blog-Post' instead of '/Blog/2015/09/Test-Blog-Post'

I would consider this a bug as the developer lists using Composer as a feature:
"Creating Blog Posts
* 3 convienient ways to post! Dashboard, Composer, and C5 nav-bar pop-up editor."

Thus the expected behavior would be that the Post will be saved to the correct location, no matter which of the three posting methods are used.
