Error: getCollectionAttributeValue() on a non-object

Can drag and drop EventList-Block and apply custom theme as long as there are no events added. As soon as I add events I get an error message ("Call to a member function getCollectionAttributeValue() on a non-object") and the debug console shows the code section above belonging to the file mentioned in the provided path. Help anyone?
