I too would like to see default value options.

These are great suggestions.

Checkbox already has a "checked by default" option.

I can add that to radio....but the text placeholder and select values are tougher because those two are actually core C5 attributes.

So, I could possible to that with the select-values question type, and then perhaps create a new "advanced text" question type.
