MySQL error with preview

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have a form with preview enabled and when trying to edit the form and then preview it again, I get the following error:
mysqlt error: [1048: Column 'ProformsItemID' cannot be null] in EXECUTE("INSERT INTO ProformsItemAttributeValues (ProformsItemID,akID,avID) VALUES (NULL,107,3810)")

The URL of the error page is:
/index.php?cID=248&bID=243&arHandle=Content&ccm_token=1417681746:3d53a001b60f514f9cd5716d8b1d5d98&btask=passthru&method=entry_form_multipart

It sounds like you are trying to access the form irrespective of it's ID#. You have to make sure you pass the "entryID#" in the blocks settings. And then make sure any time you are wanting to access a specific form "entry" that you are adding ?entryID=# to the URL. It's not cached or sessioned. so you can't just go to the page and review without having that entryID# in the URL.

Thanks, that seems to be the reason for the problem.

But at the moment when I enable the form ID in the block settings, it has some problem adding the hidden value to the form.

I can now preview the form and return to editing it. But when I return from the preview, the form ID seems to corrupt. It adds "> to the page and when viewing the pages source at shows this:
<input type="hidden" name="ProformsItemID" value="[dyH92HEmZ" y="">

I tested the preview with two different forms, and both show the same problem after returning to edit from preview.

please update to v5.7.8

The entryID# should now pass correctly to the editable form.
