QuizMaker Pro Features

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
My company is looking into purchasing your Quizmaker Pro Add-on to use for our C.E.U's. Here are the questions I have regarding the features:
1. Within the Question Pool, what's the maximum amount of questions that can be added?
2. Randomize Question order, for example could you choose 40 questions out of 100 to include within the test?
3. Retake feature, Could you edit this feature to incorporate a payment requirement? Because our company charges $10 for each retake if the participant fails. Is there a way to prevent them from testing without payment?

I am very interested in your Add-on, so any questions you may be able to answer will help me greatly.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Sophie,
Thank you for you interest in our product!

1. Within the Question Pool, what's the maximum amount of questions that can be added?
there is no such limitation

2. Randomize Question order, for example could you choose 40 questions out of 100 to include within the test?
yes, it is out of the box functionality.

3. Retake feature, Could you edit this feature to incorporate a payment requirement? Because our company charges $10 for each retake if the participant fails. Is there a way to prevent them from testing without payment?
I believe this is possible but will need to ask for estimation from our developer. It much depends on what and how you need it. What kind of payment gateway do you use? Shall it be integrated with specific gateway and /or eCommerce Concrete5 add-on? Do you need a separate page with payment list and their statuses?

Hi Dmitry,

Thank you for the responses!

In regards to Question 3:
3. Retake feature;
I believe our shopping cart sofware, Mal's eCommerce, has a way to provide our customers a URL after payment for taking our Quizmaker Pro examine. Instead of integrating our payment system into the their add-on, I think we just really need a way to prevent the participants from retaking the quiz a second time using the same URL. Perhaps this can be accomplished by requiring a new passcode each time a test is retaken. This would likely mean we would have a seperate payment link for retesting that would not provide them the URL again. This way we could send them a new passcode (along with the same URL) after we receive a second payment. To keep things automated for the first attempt, I wonder if we could use the same password for everyones first attempt, only requiring a new password if the user with the same email (user name?) tries again after failing. If that is not feasible, perhaps we will have to settle for a unique password for every attempt including the first attempt. One drawback from that approach (for both subsequent or all attempts) is that it would take time for us to set a new password before each test attempt or retest attempt.
Do you have any other suggestions/ approaches that have worked for other customers that require payment for both the inital and potential subsequent retests?

I apologize for the lengthy answer. Thanks in advance!

Hi Sophia,

Will it be a good advise to use number of attempts feature that is available in our QuizMaker? Just set the number of attempts and students will not be available to take it twice as in example. You can also create the second quiz with the same questions or the same number of questions from Question pool for retake and limit number of attempts there as well.

Let me know if that works for you
Dmitry.
