Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have the Google recaptcha working on a few websites. When I test the form and captcha, I see a notification within Google's dashboard for every website:

"We detected that your site is not verifying reCAPTCHA solutions. This is required for the proper use of reCAPTCHA on your site. Please see our developer site for more information."

Any insights would be helpful?

Hi did you ever get to the bottom of this? I am using the ExchangeCore reCAPTCHA v2 add on and I get the same issue using 8.5.7

We've never received a response from the developer. I don't recall what our exact fix was, but what I can recall was using specific settings within Google re-captcha account setup. We only use reCAPTCHA type:v2 Checkbox and set the security to "medium". We do not use reCAPTCHA v3. Our URL setting do not include "http://" or "www", just the domain without any sub class, ie: "mydomain.com". And that seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the info. I tried the same thing, but still the same. Unfortuantely it appears the recaptcha stops working after 2 mins, and any form submissions after this do not work. I also noticed that for some reason I still get spam bots coming through.

I've switched to using the HW hCaptcha addon and this appears to work without issue and stops the spam completely in case this helps anyone.
