Can't see the video

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi - I've just bought this block and wanted to get using it but I can't see any help anywhere and the video is not showing on my browser. Can you please send me a link to the video urgently so I can start using your product?
Many thanks

I just can't find any instructions on how to set it up and use it. Is there any documentation or how to's? Really to get the best out of the work that you guys put into these blocks you need to share the knowledge. I am wanting people to register and then go to a members only page where documents are stored. It must only be available for that particular person. I think the admin should assign a password.

Hi

Apologies for that. However, we'll create a video this week and put it on the marketplace and on our websitehttp://c5extras.com/

Just a quick instruction on how to do that:
1. Make that page only available to users using C5 page permissions.http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/general-topics/simple-permis...
2. Insert the Register User Pro block and under "Login" tab you can have the option to redirect to that pagehttp://screencast.com/t/NquBdEOZWb8T...

Does that help?

Thanks for that could you tell me how I would put a pdf file that would only be seen by that particular member. So I've set up a member chassa2556 and I want a file on his profile page but only one seen by him - no-one else. How would I do that??

Hi,
Apologies for the the delay in a response. My C5 support expert, JZ, has been off sick for a couple days.

I've just uploaded a demo video which can help explain all the features of Register User Pro:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in5Zj0oG3jc...

As for a file that is only visible to certain users, there's a couple ways to do that. One way I have done that in the past, is setup a block on a central "members" page and use C5 permissions to apply that block "read" access to only a specific user (or group). Just remember to include "administrators" on the list so you can see it too. Just click the block in edit mode and choose "Set Permissions". If you don't have advanced permissions enabled on your site, you'll need to activate that from your dashboard.

You'll find more doco about the permissions systems in C5 in the "how to" section of concrete5.org.

Hope this helps.
