Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am using your rounded corners plugin and am having trouble with it working in IE8 and Chrome.

It works well in Firefox 3.6

Hi,
The original jQuery script used for the rounded corners add-on didn't support "borders" (ie lines around an element). However, I'm working on a newer version which does support this.

I've attached a copy for you to use.

I'm also trying to get it to support images as well. It just seems that IE isn't coming to the party at the moment, but I'm hoping to beat it into submission.

Let me know how you go with that.

Hi,
Sorry for the multiple messages. I just finished a new revision which is now based on an entirely new cornering engine. It now supports CSS borders and background images.

Please try installing the attached file and let me know how you go.

Hi,
Your new engine fixed border lines in IE8 and almost in Chrome. While Chrome did get rounded corners added to the line borders, the top and bottom lines thickened.

I did find another issue.. When editing a page in IE8 that includes the rounded corners block, I get a repeating error: "No Object with ID #ccm-notification exists yet..."

I have not seen this error in Firefox

I think your are very close.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.

Ok, the "borders" at the top and bottom are generated because the div tag doesn't have a background colour or image. Even if it's the same as the colour behind it (eg. white in your case), you need to assign a background colour of white to the background of the 3 div tags you're applying the rounding to.

As for the error message in IE8, I was able to replicate that. I'll investigate it a bit further and get back to you.

Much appreciated.

Ok, I've got it sussed now in IE. The error is no longer appearing.

Here's a couple tips:
* Div tag should have a solid colour or image as the background - transparent backgrounds are not well supported on all browsers (in regards to the rounded corners).
* An image object isn't supported, but it can round a div tag with an image background.
* Only solid borders are supported (not dashed or dotted).
* You can use CSS to change the colour of each border independently.
* You can set background colours, background images and border colours in CSS.

I'll be uploading the new version to the C5 marketplace shortly. But in the meantime, you can find it attached.

Best of luck.
