More overlap? Squeeze pictures together more? (Roundabout)

Hi - is there a way to squeeze the pictures in together more? Like overlap a little more? The roundabout gallery is stretching too far across the page.
In the meantime, I can try using skinnier vertical photos and see what that does.
Also, I've been playing with the scale option, but I can't tell if/what that affects.

I ended up using less pictures in the roundabout and then messing with the scale setting, in the advanced tab. I found that for me, 8 pictures with a scale of 0 seemed to keep it on the page. I also did vertical photos instead of horizontal.
eta:(And actually, if I remember correctly, the scale only decided how big the behind photos appeared, it did not affect the overall stretch of whole gallery across the page)

I am having the same issue and have tried to decrease the size of the roundabout handler to see if the images get automatically resized into the area, but have not achieved any results.
Any help will be appreciate it.
