Will It Work WithCalendar Add-On?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
How well will this work with the C5 calendar add-on if I want to publish an event feed? Will it work seamlessly or require some tinkering in code? I would like to be able to have a feed of an aggregate calendar. Will this work for that?

Thanks,

-Steve

yes, as long as each event is stored within its own page (which i believe is how the calendar addon works) it will work great.

Tony,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Are you familiar enough with the calendar add-on to know if your news feed add-on will work with an aggregate calendar? An aggregate calendar pulls events from multiple pages (collections) of type "calendar." Each event is a separate page, but they are not all members of the same collection.

you can limit what shows in a feed by page type (calendar), or you can limit what's in the feed by the parent page, or you can do both.

here's a demo of the rss feed creator if you want to have a play with it:

Thanks, Tony. It looks like it would work except that none of the sort orders are appropriate. What makes the most sense is to display in chronological order from "today" forward. I might be willing to hack the code to accomplish that though.

Thanks again,

-Steve
