Add-on SEO:301 Redirects

I am not sure if SEO:301 Redirects add-on really does 301 ( permanent) redirect ?
It does the redirecting - but Redirect Checker shows 200 OK
Am I doing something wrong or maybe I missed some settings ?
Any advice on 301 redirecton are mostly appreciated.
I am a begginer so I am looking for a simple solution , tnx
Main issue is HOW TO redirect example.com/page/ to example.com/page
-no slash at the end of url.
