Is it possible to display the title on the thumbnail of each image?

Hi Jordan,

This is a great block, I love the way you can turn the lightbox on & off.

My client has just come back to me wondering if he can display the image title on the thumbnails? Is this achievable easily?

Hi Stephen,
Thumbnail titles are not available in Simple Image Gallery, but this is a feature of the Deluxe Image Gallery:

Hi Stephen/Jordan.

I worked around this by using the title of the image file, which displays on mouse-over of the image.

(1) Click to the file manager screen and mouse-over the required image, then select "Properties".

(2) Click the "Title" caption in the "Basic Properties" group and change the title text to the required description. (In my case, the original title texts were the image ids from my camera, e.g., "DSC00649.jpg" ... somewhat meaningless to the end-user of the site).

(3) Save your change by clicking on the little notepad&pencil icon that appears at the end of the title textbox, then close the "Properties" window and return to your website.

Now , when you mouse-over the image on the website the description that you added in the image's title field will display. Also, when you click the image, the lightbox image (when enabled) will display the description beneath the larger image.

This is probably not exactly what you were after Stephen (and is largely academic 3 years after your query) but hopefully will be useful to other users of Jordan's "kick-ass" free image gallery add-on.

Regards,
Gordo.
