Site Notifications Addon

This addon adds a dashboard page where you can add notifications that will be displayed on your website. Example use-cases for this addon include:

• Notifying users about site downtime and maintenance
• "Breaking News" alerts
• Boil orders, tornado warnings, etc. on municiple websites

And many more!

Features

• Add as many notifications as you like. Multiple visible notifications will be stacked and can be dismissed separately.
• Turn notifications on and off and configure expiration dates for them
• Choose from 11 possible screen locations to display notifications
• Choose from 5 different notification colors (gray, blue, red, yellow, and green)
• Ability to show notifications only to users in particular groups
• Automated job to clear expired notifications

Requirements

• PHP 5 >= 5.3.0
• jQuery 1.6+
• Users must have cookies enabled

Notes

Notification dismissal is based on cookies. In order for notifications to be dismissed, users must have cookies enabled.
