Missing jb_slider/js_manual/jquery.ui.widget.js?v=609bc8c2af9106bab053825ee3702970 404 (Not Found)

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am getting a console error about missing the following file:

jb_slider/js_manual/jquery.ui.widget.js?v=609bc8c2af9106bab053825ee3702970 404 (Not Found)

However that's not in the archive I downloaded...there's only a lightbox file in that folder?

Hi Nicole, I'll take a look at the copy of that package on my computer and get back to you.
The add-on hasn't been updated in a while so I'll be surprised if it is missing, but I'll make sure.

I'm in the airport at the moment getting onto a flight so please allow a bit of time for the response. I should be back at my computer tonight.

Okay thanks. I wonder if that file is even needed? It's an error message but it appears to be working anyhow...

I checked my copy and the controller.php line 43 has that line but it is commented out. I've got v1.1.1 on my computer. Is that what you're running.

If that's not what you're seeing, just comment that line with the jquery.ui.widget.js in the controller.php and you'll be fine.

Hope this helps.

Hi jb,

I just ran into this problem today. Not sure why it hadn't surfaced before, but after upgrading to c5 5.6 on this sitehttp://www.jodeurbrouck.com I was having horrible page loading times on the home page where this add-on is installed, and according to webpagetest.org it turned out to be caused by the 404 error from this file being MIA. I found this file in one of your other addons and put a copy at the correct path, so the 404 error is gone, but it sounds like this file isn't even needed for this add-on? Should I delete the file and comment out line 43 as you suggest, or leave the file I put there? Will youi eventually update the addon to fix this?

Also, and I'm not sure this is related at all, but webpagetest.org is also showing a whole bunch of missing image files on the same page that are supposed to be in a directory at the root level such as:
/fancybox/fancy_shadow_n.png
but that directory doesn't exist and I don't know what is supposed to be using these files. Is this related to Overlay Slider? If not, do you have any clue what these files are part of, why they might be missing, or what I should do to fix? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Barry

Hi

What version of Slider Overlay are you using? The latest one should include that fix for you. Regarding your fancybox issue it's the slate theme that's causing it.

Does that help?

Thanks, very helpful. It looks like I have version 1.1. No update is showing from the c5 dashboard, but I'll download and manually install the latest, which should be 1.1.1, correct?

I appreciate the tip on the fancybox issue with the Slate theme - now I know where to get help.

Well, I went to get this update since it doesn't show up in dashboard, and I see it is now a paid add-on, but I got it when it was free. Do I have to pay to upgrade?

Thanks,
Barry

Hi Barry,

I just got back from weekend. By the way, our add-on updates usually are free. Glad you figured it out.

Feel free to get back to us if you need any assistance.
