Excellent

Studio Testimonials works excellent. Seamless install. Of course, in order to customize things, you do have to have some C5, HTML, CSS and PHP skills.

I did add a PHP check into the block's view.php to check to see if a Title exists. If the title doesn't exist, then there should be no need to have an empty "<h3></h3>" because it leaves a space in my layout.

Basically, all I did was enclose the <h3> in:

if(strlen($title)>0){

A great choice for testimonials

Simple to use and does what it says. A couple of very minor enhancements would make it nearly perfect. The testimonial category is particularly useful as is the instance-specific div ID (for you CSS geeks). I did not try the user submission feature (with downstream admin approval), but this is an essential ingredient.

Well done!

This is so close to being a great application, but it falls short for the novice user...

The on the submission form isn't customisable from the Dashboard - yes - I did look at the files via my cPanel and figured out how to change the text....so changing the "Extra" field to "Date of Work Carried Out"

Despite the bullet point features described a "front end submission" there is no form - you have to display at least 1 testimonial - I just want a block with the form in it - no testimonials; So a configurable block with Author, Feedback, Date

I have 4 years of testimonials to transfer from another application - however, there is no ability to edit the recorded submission date within the application, so I will now have 150 testimonials on the same day - although this isnt displayed to the public.

The ability to display a large number on a single page, is marred by the fact that block doesn't distinguish clearly between each testimonial - it all blurs into one ..

Those small (?) changes would take this from a good app to a great "fully featured" one. Dont let this put you off getting it though, its better than the others on the marketplace. (I have used one for 3 years)

It installed easily and works a treat, very easy to set up and gives a good range of function...its just so close to being awesome

Does exactly what it says on the tin

Purchased this last week and installed it on a client website. Was super easy to install and configure.

There are some nice options with the choice between static testimonials and transitions.

All in all, does exactly what I wanted. Saved me a few hours of coding myself (so well worth the price) and I can style everything exactly how I like.

Fabulous addon, great support and lots of potential, I look forward to seeing how this develops. I have previously used other Concrete5 testimonial addons, but compared to this they fall a little short.

Multiple JavaScript Files Issue Solved

bmccarthy
I did manage to figure out a temporary solution. Since your block is used on the footer of the website on every page, I decided to not dig into the "testimonial" code. Instead I simply renamed the JavaScript file of the other block, so that it would not be rendered by the web browser which fixed my problem. So your JavaScript file worked for both blocks.

It was a rather weird problem as it is easy to add additional header information per page but surprisingly difficult to remove specific header information from a single page. By no means a problem with your coding. Just a java conflict issue. Still a great block. Thanks for your response on the matter.

Works Great small issue though.

The functionality of the add on is what I was looking for. Although I am having a problem. On some of my pages the JavaScript file "jquery.fancybox-1.3.0.pack.js" is already added in the header for a different block. And I am assuming that having two "<link>" tags with the JavaScript file is whats causing both elements to fail.

Mind you the testimonial still shows up in its random order but if someone wishes to add a new testimonial, the pop up fails. As does the image gallery pop ups.

Any help on this would be great. Ill be looking in the forums.

All the other pages that don't have a gallery work as expected.

Sorry for the delayed response. The pop ups on your site appear to be working for me. Did you get the issues resolved or are you still experiencing problems?

Working well and the fade and slide feature works a treat. It would be great to have a number list for navigation through the testimonails...

This block has options for both fade and slide effects, did you not find the options, or were they just not working properly? Why don't you open a support ticket and we can resolve it.

Exactly what I was looking for!

This block was perfect for what I was looking for. The testimonials are added in the backend, with the ability to approve or not approve them, so people can submit them and can be approved before adding them to the site. The ability to have one testimonial at a time, with a set time and fade, is great. I used it on the homepage ofhttp://www.StoneyCrestCampground.com/.... I really like all of its capabilities and found it very user friendly. I think even the client will be able to add and edit testimonials. The only thing I found unappealing was that whenever it switches testimonials, it bumps you up to the top of the block. Not a huge quirk. Thanks for this great addon.

Glad that you like it.
We are looking into that, I will let you know when we change that.

By the way, your campground looks really nice.
