Changing Color of Joomla Superfish Drop Down Menu

I cant seem to change the color of my drop-down menu. I need it to be purple with white font for the writing.
Can anyone tell me how I can do this in Joomla?

I downloaded the Superfish Dropdown menu for Joomla :http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/menu-systems/drop-a-tab-menus/6731/reviews2
and need to change the colors but can't seem to figure out how to do it on Joomla, its a new CMS for me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So, I think you're on the wrong site (this forum is for the concrete5 superfish addon - nothing to do with joomla at all)- try posting in a Joomla forum or check out the jquery plugin documentation.
