This add-on does just what it says; it provides an index in graphical form. I needed an add-on which would provide my client's site with a sort of "photo album" type effect -- something where I could show a series of image thumbnails (with captions) which would link to different photo galleries.
It works similarly to folders on your desktop. This was the only add-on I found which matched what I had in mind to a T. I jumped on it immediately.
