How to stop motion?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Great add-on, works flawlessly.

Just trying to figure out how to allow a user to stop the action? I'm showing a pretty detailed slider, and I've set the delay to a higher number, but I'd like to give the user the option to stop the slide to read more detail.

Any suggestions?

At present there is no way to allow the user to pause the transitions. It would not be difficult to modify the default view (or create a modified view) that contained some kind of javascript trigger that paused the transitions by setting the sliderShowDuration/slideShowDuration value to zero).

There are a lot of possible ways to do this, and how your slider is set up affects how you would do this. It's one of those things that easy to do in a specific case but much more complicated to set up for a general case.

I don't want to stop the transition, I want to be able to hit a stop button and be able to view an individual slide, then start the action rolling again.

I have a script installed on another non-c5 site that does exactly that. It looks like your sample with the clickable buttons to switch between the different slides, but stops the progression of slides when you click on one of the buttons.

I can figure out how to do this, just trying to shortcut the process a bit.
