Gallery Images Doesn't Seem to be Responsive

Hello there,
We have been using this add-on since a long time in developing our production site. Our site is not published yet because of some of the issues to be resolved. One of the issues is responsiveness of touch gallery add-on images. In this following exam page:

We have gallery images in the right side bar. If you make your browser screen narrower, images does not respond to be smaller or fit the size as the attached screenshot and stick with the assigned width in the gallery option. Although, I have selected, shrink down proportionally, it does not wok responsively. I am guessing, if the image dimension option can be give as % instead of pixels, then the images might work well. Can you please inform me how I can make your add-on work responsive? Or if it will not work in the case we are having in our side bar, then is there any chance to add a feature to your add-on? Last is, I can see there is an update notice for your add-on in the dashboard. Do I need to update the add-on before going to the concrete5 version 8?

3- Yes, we want to update to the latest version of the add-on but I am wondering if there is any edits in the templates, will they be lost after the update or not. BTW, I am using v7.5.13

Hi Again, you sent me all the templates included with the gallery. I need to know which one you are using and or you modified.
Also, you have to know that you should never modify a package directly so after you tell me which you are using I will create an independent template that you will use which will allow you to update the gallery anytime you want.

Thank you very much for your reply again. There was another guy before me contracting the same site, so I am not sure if he had made some edits or not. Secondly, I have now checked and found no templates is being used in the right side bar [see the attachment]. Actually my Boss wants the things to be as simple as we can keep. So, he doesn't like to use templates. Using a same thing or recycling in across the site is the main concern. And that's why if we use templates, more item gets added in the list of recycling. He wants very less amount of resources to be used in every where and that's why I am guessing my previous guy had not used any templates. In this case, what could be the solution?

My understanding is the block was modified directly. This is the worse possible thing you can do. Templates exist for a reason. They are there so you can create custom designs and functionality that will not be overwritten when you upgrade. By modifying the code directly you have ensured you cannot easily upgrade the gallery and will not benefit from future fixes an enhancement.
Also, I cannot support a package that was modified. It is not my work anymore, it is a modification of my work and I can't support something I don't have control of.
Like I said, I will send you a template that you can use that does what you want. If you don't want to use the template, feel free to use the code in it and add it to your own modifications.

Thanks for your reply. I am not sure if the core is customized. As I said, there was a previous developer before me so I am not sure if he did anything. And it's been a long time so asking him to know what he had changed will not get any proper answer. Anyways, thanks for your consideration for a new template. It will be highly appreciated.

Here's the template. You have to unzip it inside application/blocks so you end up with application/blocks/touch_gallery/templates/ex_rx and some files inside it.
Once that's in place, apply the template to your gallery (name Ex Rx).
To make the gallery fluid but within limits, I set a variable inside the file view.php $minWidthRatio and I gave it a value of 0.8 which means 80%
This is used to calculate the minimum width allowed based on the thumbnail width. So, in this case, minimum width will be 80% of thumbnail width. Feel free to change that value to your liking.

Sorry for the late reply. I have gone to give you a nice review as you deserve it but it seems like I can't as we have not purchased the add-on using my account. However, I have asked my boss for that and hopefully he will give from his account if he has not already. We are so glad having your new template exclusively for us. I have implemented the new template on this page

but seems like the images are not behaving as in the gallery. you can try and see the problem. I am guessing some parts of the codes are missing or something that I can't figure out. Also it works fine in respect to the previous responsiveness problem but whe the browser width is 778px to 768px it seems like the problem is there (as the attached screenshot). I am guessing a change in the value that you have mentioned would do the trick here.
I have another thing to know but I am afraid if I am asking you more than I deserve.
I would like have some suggestion on how I can get rid of the orange underline from the gallery images. If I remove the underline then it affects our all other a tagged links. If it's not burden for you, can you please give me a little idea how I can differentiate the normal links and the gallery image links so that I can get rid of the underline only from the gallery images. Do I need to change the core file or work on the gallery template?

To answer your questions:
1- Yes the gallery is responsive as it adapts to different screen sizes. Each image, however, has a fixed size. But that can be easily fixed in your template
2- Selecting the setting to "resize proportionally" means your bigger images will be "physically" resized proportionally to create thumbnails (as opposed to resized and cropped), not that it will resize proportionally when resizing the browser.
3- I do not know what version you are using but Touch Gallery has been compatible with v8 for a few versions now. Is there any reason you don't want to upgrade?
As to making thumbnails change size with the resizing of the browser, please send me your template zipped and I will make the modification for you.
