Just need some very basic functionality
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I'm currently rebuildling a site, upgrading from 5.6 to 5.8. On the old site we used the Discussion add on for a members' forum, and an add on just to show who is currently online (first and second name only).
In the new version, we are using the core Conversation block but I can't find an add on that will show who is online. The forum is for members/users who are already signed up (they can only be registered by admin). The client would really like to have this functionality on the new site and your add on was the only thing that looks like it might do the job! Can you confirm that it will?
I have attached a screen shot of the block in action on the old site and would be quite happy to supply login details if you want to take a look.
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Duncan

Thanks Peter,
The site probably won't be going live for a couple of weeks yet but if you find a way of doing this, let me know? You'll have an immediate sale :)
Many thanks.

I was just looking at the block, it does have a sort by last online option, that would give you a list of most recent users on the system. If you only wanted to show users currently logged in you could make a new block template and do a conditional with isLoggedIn() to only display users currently logged in. I'm not sure I can do that in the controller and not mess up pagination if it is being used. I'll need to look a little more at it.
It doesn't do that now, but it might be a nice option. I'll have to take a look into it.
