How Googlebot sees the slider

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi, we have the Whale Nivo Slider on our website and I have a question about how the slider is viewed by Google. We're auditing our site in readiness for Google rolling out their new algorithms on the 21st April and it seems that Google is seeing the slider in two ways depending on which test we use.

When we use Fetch and Render as Google in Webmaster tools, the test comes back 'Content not sized to viewport' for smartphones. In this test Google is not reading the Java script and is displaying our sliders stacked one under the other and in full size.

However, when we use PageSpeed Insights in Google Developers, the test comes back showing the slider re-sized as expected for the mobile screen.

The Google roll out on the 21st April will favour mobile friendly websites and so we want to make sure our website is compliant. Do you know why Google would see the slider in two different ways depending on which test is used? Do you know which test Google will be using to determine mobile friendliness after the 21st April?

Many thanks,
Paul Curtis
