Show / hide carousel items based on date

Permalink Browser Info Environment

I want to put news items or events in a carousel.
After a certain date these events expire. So i don't want them to be visible anymore.

Is it possible to hide a carousel item based on a date (that the client chooses)?

How easy / hard would it be to implement this?

Thanks in advance.

Not possible with built-in option, but should be easy to implement with few lines of code, if you are a developer. Add a date field to each slide, then check that before render the slide.
