Works, then it doesn't

I got the background video working, but....
1) does not work in Exploder or Opera ever
2) sometimes the video loads, sometimes not

I have a pretty good connection so that is not the issue. We tried it on
my son's pc and none of the vids load.

By the way, the videos are set to unlisted, not public or private.

It's possible that when you tested it on FF or Chrome you had your youtube account logged in on those browsers. So when you view it on those browsers they work and when you tried IE and Opera it didn't as you've mentioned it's unlisted/private.

Have you tried public videos for testing purposes?

Still does not work in Exploder or Opera, I made all the videos public.
Am I the only one with this issue? :^0

I noticed that the background works on your about page but this only occurs on your home page. What other blocks exist in your home page? Have you tried disabling it and check if that caused it?

There is only a block for a form on the home page, other than that on both pages- regular text blocks.

Strange but, it now works in explorer after visiting the about page then going back to index.

All other browsers it is showing this morning, but here in southeast Alaska it's 1:45am and the network traffic is relatively light.

Our DNS has been altered over the last few years nationwide, I can tell that when I am gaming in the afternoon. I can do a speed test, but still have high pings every day.

I am going to try finding short good looking videos with low resolution, probably that will fix the problem.

I noticed you have a chat on your homepage. I'm not sure if that's causing the video to stop but it might be a good try to disable it and then reload the page to see if that will fix it.

Let me know how it goes.

I am in editing mode and the block I put the php script into isn't showing, uh oh...

Is there a way to delete it through ftp safely?

Hi

What particularly about the php script you have entered?

I can see that the background is now working on the home page. Can you share how you did it?

I changed the video to a shorter 17 second loop, that's all I did. The original video that was up there was uploaded to youtube as an .avi file, the new one was an Adobe Flash Video.

I put in the same script that you get fromhttp://barc.com, it's a basic php script- and I remember putting it in a lower sidebar, but it is not showing in edit mode now.

I had a feeling the problem was bandwidth and it looks like I'm correct- this time.

Just to let you know JZ is off sick for a couple days. Since he's already familiar with your situation I'll let him respond to that as soon as he gets back. Thanks so much for your patience.
