YouTube Add-on not Working Anymore

We use the YouTube Pro add-on for our website and it appears to no longer be working. I was told by our website management company that YouTube did a software update so our add-on will no longer work until it is updated. Does anyone know when or if this update will take place?

Sorry for the delay. I just had a short vacation and came back sick and wasn't able to work on this. Anyway, it will be ready tomorrow. We will keep you posted.

We need to know who to contact about this. As I understand, concrete5 has a list of apps that we can use that will work with the platform. If this one is not working, what one will? It is absolutely ridiculous that we have purchased a product that is supposed to work for concrete5 and it is causing this much trouble. Please let me know if you have any of the below information:

Who we can contact in regards to the app?
What other apps will work to play webinars on our website?

Hi

We are still on the works on the update and we are making sure this is secured because it is using a keys. Youtube has updated their API so much so that we need to overhaul the process. We are almost done with the update we will keep you posted.

The add-on is still a block option on the website but I have removed the add-on in the places where it was not working. I hard-coded the webinars to our website as a temporary fix, so I had to remove the add-on in those areas.

Would I just need to run an update on our website once the app is fixed? And then re-add the add-on to the website?

I have asked my manager if she would be okay with you taking a look at our website. Can you provide any information that would confirm your employment with concrete5? I'm a bit weary of allowing access to the backend of our website. Thanks!

I will be PMing you. I realised this is the not the Youtube Channel Add-on which we have just sent an upgrade 2 days ago. I think this is a case of misconfiguration. So I'm going to send you a private message so you can send me your dashboard login so I can test it for you and see what is causing it.

You mentioned a while back that you could logon to my computer with me (for a charge) and show me how to work the youtube pro app. Can we schedule a time to do that? I cannot get this app working and I really need some assistance with it.

Hi Stephanie,

We do give free support on C5 tickets however our Skype support is with a fee. If you want to proceed just let us know. Also we are usually off on weekends so that will have to be scheduled on Monday.

By the way, I've been testing this add-on and couldn't see any problem. If you could just send your url where this block is located that might help a bit. But having the block details would be more ideal.

Hi JZ,

So when I go on our YouTube playlists there are a couple of options as far as sharing the playlist. When I click share there is an embed link and a share link and obviously the URL at the top of the screen. I have tried using all of those link and even taking portions of them out as stated in the directions on the YouTube Pro app and nothing seems to work.

Attached is a picture of one of our playlists and I highlighted where I was getting the links from.

Can you give me an estimate as to how much a skype session costs? At this point I would definitely be interested so I could get this figured out.

Hi Stephanie,

I think I know where the confusion is. You are using Youtube Pro which only shows a SINGLE video. You are linking a Playlist so you need the Youtube Channel for this not the Youtube Pro add-on. Here is the linkhttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/youtube-channel/... does that make sense?

I tried the YouTube Channel and I cannot get it to work. I think I'm YouTube app challenged. Do you have time for a Skype or go to meeting to go over this? And what would the cost be?

I'll ask JB the owner of C5Extras and get back to you. Make sure your YouTube Channel add-on is the latest version because YouTube API has been updated to version 3 and we supported that on our latest version as well. Make sure to have your API Key and follow the instructions found on the Help tab of our add-on.
