Content in layouts dissappearing

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi, thanks for being responsive to questions and issues about this theme :)

I am having an issue where I can't add layouts. Once I do, any content in the layout disappears once you publish the page. I ran across a few posts and fixes in the forums for this issue, but am not confident enough in my PHP skills to implement it in this theme.

Here's the solution I found:

A workaround would be adding an empty content block on the added layout area.
Let me know if issue still exist.
