Edit bar missing

Permalink Browser Info Environment
The EDIT and dashboard bar disappear on some pages. It SEEMS to be happening on newer pages, but I can't be sure.

Also, on the blog page, the previous and next navigation go to other web pages, instead of blog posts. Right now, I only have one blog post, so those nav elements should not go anywhere.

Also, on the Page Types page, the blog entry "defaults" button results in:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserName() on a non-object in /home/better/public_html/packages/cg_calyx/themes/cg_calyx/blog_entry.php on line 13

Hi,

Will check on this. Can you PM me your login credential?

What was the last thing you did before the edit bar was gone?

Thanks,
John

I tried that many times, as well as Concrete5 cache.
I must have something funky on my MAC, since it happens on all the browsers...

Thanks for your help on this.....
I will have to pursue...
Scary!

Why not reinstall your browser?

Did you look at the blog entry problem?
I can't add beyond the first entry - and the previous and next functions don't work - at least when there is only one post - they go to other web pages.

thanks.

Hi Stephanie,

Regarding how to setup the blog.
Please have a parent page.
Ex.
-Blog Page
*This will be your parent page and page type should not be blog entry
*inside Blog page will be the list of your blog entry page using Page list block.
-Keeping in Touch on Updates and Details Page
*This will be your child page and page type should be blog entry page

See how it works

OK, thanks. I have done several C5 sites, just never a blog... so I THINK I get the blog concept now.

However.... now I can't get the Calyx custom templates to echo the data in the blog post... it just says "read full post" If I select the STANDARD C5 blog entry - it will echo the data.

I have tried checking and unchecking the truncate summaries part when I edit the page list, and tried to dig around.... any suggestions.

thanks for all your help on this.
