main.css update

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hey there!

This may be a very simple and easy solution, but I am new with concrete5 and I am a little stuck on updating the css.

I remember reading that concrete 5 basically works on a hierarchy system where the outermost files are selected to overwrite the core files.

I was wondering where I should be placing the main.css page for my website. Currently I have noticed that it is housed in:

/files/cache/css/casual

Given that it is in cache, any time the cache is purged or there is an update, my CSS file is overwritten. Where can I place the file so I don't need to worry about consistently overwriting the cache file?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,

The main css can be changed in /packages/theme_casual/themes/casual/main.css
After changing you can change your cache to make sure the modifications take effect.

Best of luck and regards,
Jerome

Thank you very much, datasouth!

I updated that file and cleared my cache and all the effects are in place.
