New responsive theme (5.6) install over non responsive theme

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I wish to install a responsive (5.6) over an older site theme - Unbound -site:http://ourdailyrest.org/,
Will this work? If so what advise would you give for doing this?
The license info above is not for this inquiry.
